Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need a partner to join Salsa or Bachata classes?
No partner needed. All of our classes work on a rotation basis, giving students the opportunity to dance with different people throughout the class. This helps students learn faster, build confidence, and improve their leading and following skills.
Are your classes beginner friendly?
Absolutely. Our Salsa and Bachata classes are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and beginner friendly. Whether it’s your first dance class or your first time stepping onto a dance floor, we will guide you every step of the way.
I’ve never danced Salsa or Bachata before. Can I still join?
Yes. Many of our students start with zero dance experience. Our instructors break everything down step-by-step in a fun and easy-to-follow environment.
Is Bachata easier than Salsa?
For most beginners, Bachata is usually easier to learn than Salsa — especially in the first few weeks because Bachata has a simpler basic step, slower music tempo, less complex timing at first and turns are typically easier early on.
How long does it take to learn Salsa or Bachata?
Most people can learn the basics of Salsa dancing in about 1–3 months with consistent classes and practice. You can usually feel comfortable social dancing within 3–6 months. Becoming highly skilled and confident takes longer—often 1–3 years of regular dancing.
Most people can learn the basics of Bachata in about 1–2 months with regular classes and practice. Many beginners feel comfortable social dancing within 2–4 months. Developing strong technique, musicality, and confidence can take 1–2 years of consistent dancing.
